A Bit About Me

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with a deep-rooted commitment to my Christian faith. In my practice, I integrate principles of psychology with the values and teachings of Christianity to provide holistic and compassionate care to individuals, couples, and families. With a foundation built on faith, I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their challenges, find healing, and strengthen their relationships. My approach is guided by empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to support my clients on their journey toward wholeness and fulfillment, both personally and spiritually. I believe that through the integration of psychological insights and biblical wisdom, individuals can experience profound transformation and discover a deeper sense of purpose and connection in their lives. It's a privilege for me to walk alongside my clients as they navigate life's complexities and pursue growth, restoration, and reconciliation in accordance with their faith values.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of the Cumberlands and a Master's in Counseling Psychology from National University. In addition to my private practice, I serve as the liaison for the southwest region for the Center for Apostolic Counseling, a nationwide network of counselors. I am a professor with Wilson University, a WASC accredited university, instructing in the Counseling Principles Certificate program.

I am affiliated with various professional organizations and hold endorsements from the Center for Apostolic Counseling, Psychology Today, the California Association for Marriage & Family Therapists (CAMFT), and Community Counseling Associates. You can find my profiles at the Center for Apostolic Counseling website (https://www.apostoliccounseling.org/karen-anderson/), Psychology Today (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/karen-anderson-fair-oaks-ca/782039), and CAMFT (https://www.camft.org/), as well as the website for Community Counseling Associates (communitycounselingassociates.org).
